Taj Holiday village has recently completed renovations bringing the rooms and public areas up to the usual high standard that we have come to expect from the Taj Group of Hotels. Situated next to its sister hotel the Fort Aguada Beach Resort, set in an a fantastic location in a slightly elevated position with a great view of the beach from the gardens; miles of wide, soft pink sand against a backdrop of swaying palms.

There are three main restaurants; Caravela for all-day dining, a popular choice for its sea-side setting, Beach House, with its Portuguese ambiance, serves authentic Goan cuisine and the renowned Banyan Tree for the best Thai food in Goa. Jungle Jam the kiddies' restaurant caters to the whimsical taste buds of the young ones. The Rock Your Blues bar has a retro theme with rock and pop from the 70s.

The swimming pool and separate children's pool are surrounded by palm trees and lovely green gardens, the perfect place to relax and unwind and take that cooling dip. The sports complex offers badminton, tennis, table tennis, cricket bowling machine, billiards, squash and a mini-golf course, as well as fully equipped gymnasium and, for the ultimate pampering, the Jiva Spa provides a full range of spa therapies.

The air-conditioned garden cottages are elegantly and tastefully furnished with en-suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower, telephone, satellite TV, coffee making facilities, mini-bar and in-room safe. 24-hour room service and laundry service are also available. Accommodation is offered on bed and full buffet breakfast basis and Christmas and New Year festive meals are also included. Highly recommended.

Made By Sarah on 13/02/2007 We have recently returned from 2 weeks at the Taj Holiday Village and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is next to the Taj Fort Aguada, which looks to be a good hotel but the Taj Holiday Village really takes some beating. You can use the facilities at both hotels if you want, but the Taj Holiday Village has direct access to the great beach and the Fort Aguada doesn’t. We stayed in a seaview cottage and we had our own patio and table and chairs. The rooms are great and quite large as well as clean and comfortable. Rooms also have internet connections and a big flat screen TV. Our bathroom was large with two basins as well as a good powerful shower. The staff at the Taj Holiday Village are very good and our room was cleaned to the highest standards every day. She also left two free bottles of water in the room. There are 3 restaurants at the Taj Holiday Village and the food is excellent although it is more expensive than the local restaurants. Breakfasts were also very good quality. The room service is excellent. Our order only took 10 minutes to be delivered. We ordered breakfast every morning and ate at the table outside in our little garden. The food was always hot and tasty. There are several beach huts and one of them offers daily massages for about 300 rupees for an hour. The food in the hut is also very nice and much cheaper than the hotel. If you fancy a beer, I'd go to one of the beach huts as beer costs only 35 rupees We loved our stay at the Taj Holiday Village. The hotel has good staff and it is in a beautiful setting and we can't wait to go back!

Resort : Sinquerim Beach

Description : Sinquerim Beach is the longest established and more ‘sophisticated’ end, where the Fort Aguada Resort, Taj Holiday Village and Aguada Hermitage are all situated. It’s a little more expensive and a little more international. The view from above the Hermitage up the coast is really quite spectacular.

During the season water sports are available here including jetskiing and parasailing, one of the few beaches where you can enjoy water activites. The large bulk carrier, ‘River Princess’, that ran aground more than five years ago is still here. It’s become a recognised landmark and we fear that everyone has got so used to it now that it will never be removed!
