After undergoing extensive renovations 3 years ago, the Fort Aguada Beach Resort offers some of the most luxurious accommodation in North Goa. Set in an unrivalled location, in an elevated position on top of the 16th century Portuguese old fort, Fort Aguada, next to its sister hotel, the Taj Holiday Village, the view from the gardens is absolutely stunning, with miles of wide, soft pink sand against a backdrop of swaying palms.

Most people love to sunbathe in the gardens where, due to the elevated position, there always seems to be a nice cooling breeze, although there are also sun beds on the beach for those who prefer to be where the action is, especially to take advantage of the full watersports facilities available, which include wind-surfing, water skiing, banana- and doughnut-rides and parasailing.

The three main restaurants, Il Camino for Italian cuisine, Morisco for seafood and Sea Shell for International and Indian cuisine and the Martini Bar are all set around the swimming pool and all have spectacular views out over the beach. The open-air Fish Tail seasonal barbeque restaurant is set against the jutting Aguada headland and also has a superb view.

The sports complex offers badminton, tennis, table tennis, billiards, squash and a mini-golf course, as well as fully equipped gymnasium and, for the ultimate pampering, the Jiva Spa provides a full range of spa therapies. The hotel provides a full range of daily activities from basket-weaving and dance classes to cooking demonstrations and vegetable carving.

The air-conditioned superior garden view rooms are on the ground floor of the main building, have en-suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower, telephone, satellite TV, coffee-making facilities, mini-bar, in-room safe and furnished terrace. 24-hour room service and laundry service are also available. Accommodation is offered on Bed and Full Buffet Breakfast basis and Christmas and New Year festive meals are also included. Highly recommended.

The Fort Aguada Beach Resort is part of our Gold Collection, designed especially for the discerning traveller and includes fruit in the room on arrival and taxi transfers upon arrival and departure.

Review Title : What a lovely hotel. Your Rating 5 Stars. Made By Kim Sheppard on 03/12/2007
The Fort Aguada is one of the nicest hotels in Goa and in a great place easily accessible to all the fun, bars and sight seeing. The location is fab literally seconds from the beach and the bars and restaurants in the hotel are great. The rooms are lovely and the beds are super comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff in Goa are all great as well.

Resort Information

Resort : Sinquerim Beach

Description : Sinquerim Beach is the longest established and more ‘sophisticated’ end, where the Fort Aguada Resort, Taj Holiday Village and Aguada Hermitage are all situated. It’s a little more expensive and a little more international. The view from above the Hermitage up the coast is really quite spectacular.

During the season water sports are available here including jetskiing and parasailing, one of the few beaches where you can enjoy water activites. The large bulk carrier, ‘River Princess’, that ran aground more than five years ago is still here. It’s become a recognised landmark and we fear that everyone has got so used to it now that it will never be removed!
