Description: Bogmalo Beach. Our first impression was of how busy the beach was compared to the last time we visited. It was a Sunday when we visited and we discovered it is extremely popular with the locals, so if it’s peace and quiet you’re looking for we advise you to avoid the weekends.

The beach is only 300 metres long and dotted with a few beach shacks and is protected from the currents and tides by the natural bay making it easier to swim in the sea. As the day fades into twilight, what better way to end it than by sipping a local cocktail at a ‘hut’ like ‘Joets’ while watching the sun setting on the distant horizon.

Bogmalo Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Goa. The swaying coconut palms and the soft sand and the shores of the Arabian Sea make Bogmalo Beach look like a piece of paradise.

It is safe to swim as the sea is calm. In fact the blue waters are so clean and warm that it is hard to keep away from it for long. The beach is great for sun bathing and there is plenty of space. Bogmalo Beach unlike the other beaches in Goa is not very crowded. The red brick huts add color to the green coconut canopies.

Near to Bogmalo beach is the must visit tourist destination of the Naval Aviation Museum. This museum will give you a better insight into the Indian Navy. While on Bogmalo beach you must pay a visit to the captivating café bars or take a pick from the range of Kashmiri handicrafts items.

Dabolim airport is 4 kms away. For road transport there are plenty of taxis that may be easily hired and bus services are also available. There are a lot of hotels and budget accommodations available at Bogmalo beach so you will easily find a room to stay in.
