ROME OF THE EAST - full day £25

This is a popular traditional sightseeing tour, which takes you to the Mangueshi and Shantadurga temples, 16th century Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral, shops in the city, followed by a sunset boat cruise along the river Mandovi. Lunch served on ethnic banana leaf is included.

DISCOVER SOUTH GOA - full day £25

Get the feel of Goa's ever winding roads; this tour takes you along the coastal route, passing sleepy villages, massive houses, thatches, huts, churches and temples. Visit the undisturbed village of Betul to taste Feni and enjoy the sun on the virgin beach of Palolem before continuing to a rubber plantation passing through a stone quarry. Lunch included.

SPICE & SHOPPING - full day £25

A must for every traveller to Goa. Visit a cashew nut processing factory, followed by a guided tour of a larges spice garden Sahakari Spice Farm that is managed by professionals who have in-depth knowledge of spices and herbs. Learn all about the various spices, their benefits and properties. Shop till you drop in Panjim. Sumptuous traditional buffet lunch at Spice Garden is included.

WATERFALL EXPERIENCE DUDHSAGAR - full day £25

This well-known tour takes you through small villages, green paddy fields, swaying palm trees before you arrive near the majestic 600 metres waterfalls Dudhsagar on the Goa-Karnataka border. A 4-wheel drive vehicle transfer with a drive through the forest brings you to the shimmering streams. Enjoy the day dipping in the crystal clear waters, and relaxing in a hammock. Lunch included.

STEP BACK IN TIME - full day £25

Off the beaten track, this excursion takes you through remote villages, experience traditional Goan lifestyle, see locals build wooden boats, try a hand at coir rope weaving, shaping a clay pot at the local pottery before returning back to the 21st century. Lunch included.

HOUSEBOAT - full day £85

Goa's answer to the Rice boat of Kerala. Where better to watch Goa's famous sunset than from the sundeck on this amazing 4-bedroomed wooden houseboat. Wake up to the chirping of birds and set off to explore the backwaters of Goa. Comfortable cabins, superb food and service make this an unforgettable experience. Lunch, dinner and breakfast included.

JUNGLE BOOK - overnight £80

Travel to the jungle and experience how people make use of their natural surroundings. Enjoy bamboo rafting, plantation tour en-route to Shanti hamlet. Swim or sun bath in the jungle stream, enjoy a elephant ride, ride a bullock cart to the tribal village, dine around a bonfire and then join a nature trail in the dark. Next day before departing take a jungle walk, light yoga, elephant show and feeding, swim, wash and shower elephants and Goan breakfast. Lunch, dinner and breakfast included. Please note: Accommodation is very primitive and in natural habitat at Shanti hamlet located within Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary in huts with private showers. Note: Insect repellent recommended. Not recommended for those who have fear of insects.

TIGER & TUSKER TRAIL - 2 nights £99

This exciting 4/12 Konkan railway train journey takes you from Margoa through remote and scenic villages to arrive at Udupi in Karnataka. On day 2 visit an elephant training camp in Gajnaur and the jungle reserve of Tyavarekoppa Reserve to spot tigers, deers and sambhars. Tigers roam freely here, an experience not to be missed. Stop at Manipal town for shopping. Return to Goa on day 3 by train. Accommodation: Karavali Hotel in Udupi. All meals included.

HAMPI - 2 nights £65

Discover the spectacular 14th century ruins of the capital city of Vijayanagara Kingdom - one of greatest Hindu Empires of India. Depart by train from Margoa, passing over the famous Dudhsagar falls to arrive at Hospet in Karnataka. Next day a full day sightseeing tour taking you through the capital city which is full of surprises: innumerable temples, awesome monoliths, musical pillars, soaring towers, preserved elephants, Queen's bath with Indo-Sarean architecture, Lotus Mahal with its arches, royal dwellings, pillared pavilions and the incredible Hampi Bazar. After breakfast the next day depart by train for Margao. Departure day: Sunday/Wednesday. Accommodation: Shanbag Hotel, Hospet.
